One desk and half an office
CG Computers is heading for our 3rd year. In 3 years, we grew from a 2 persons, 1 desk, half an office space sharing with my mother, 1 telephone, borrowed fax machine and a LC 475 to today's 6 dedicated staffs, fully Mac computerised office with kitchen and most of all, a strong support from Mac community in northern Malaysia. We are proud to say CG's logo products are a common sight now not only in Penang, but we sell also as far as Taiping, Ipoh, Sungai Petani, Kangar, KL, Kota Baru, Sarawak and Thailand.

I luv Mac
Like many other Mac users in the country, I love using a Macintosh computer. The mouse move smoother, the icons are prettier, I love Chicago font on the menu, adore that 6 colours apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, trash is a cool name for trashing away unwanted files; I love to be able to organise my files and folders the way I wanted, add alias at places I feel convenient, easy double click installation, trash away anything that I dislike; add fonts, configure internet, automate repeatation office work, imitate Picasso; set up mailing system, put up a web server, print thru network, access office's Mac on the road; all of these, I have done with no official trainning from Apple nor any other 'Apple Authorised Training Provider' (there are no such provider by the way.).

Why Mac?
There was one small problem 3 years ago. I was almost alone as a Mac user. Getting support for Mac is a more difficult task than solving the problem myself. The company I worked with has an IT department that refuses to support Mac. I was inspired my Guy Kawasaki's 'Selling your dreams', I thought of the win-win situation for Mac users and myself from '7 habits of highly effective people', John Sculley's 'Oddessy' deeply capture my attention on how Apple runs it's business. I resigned and took a 2 months' trip to Argentina, Brazil and South Africa with my wife, Peggy. We were robbed twice, I loss my swiss knife and a Canon EOS. Iwas kicked in the face by 2 black guys that is about 2 feet taller that I am. Peggy has a cut on the leg while I was kicked. We come back feeling stronger than ever that we would set up CG Computers.

On the 14th of June, 1995, 3 months before the launching of Windows 95, we registered CG Computers.
